Gaz Coombes: Acoustic + Signing at Rough Trade, Nottingham
On Sunday 15th January 2023 the one and only Gaz Coombes will be performing an intimate acoustic set as well as signing records and CD’s to celebrate the release of his outstanding new studio album 'Turn the Car Around', which will be released via Hot Fruit Recordings on 13th January.
When it came out in September, the masterfully constructed single ‘Don’t Say It’s Over’, which is a fusion of alt-rock groove track where Gaz Coombes reminisces about the intoxicating night he met his future wife was added immediately to the BBC Radio 6 playlist. The song was a sneak peak into an album that has been seven years in the making, a record about feeling, that openly captures the trials, tribulations and successes of modern day life and everything in between.
Following a rapturously received stint back fronting his iconic group Supergrass, the acclaimed live reunion ended on September 3rd with the band’s final ever appearance at Wembley Stadium with their emotionally charged set at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert.
