The Seaside returns to Nottingham! With new attractions for 2022
This year, as we see the welcome return of Nottingham Beach 2022 immersing Old Market Square, families and friends alike will be able to enjoy all sorts of summer activities! The beach will be open to the public from Monday 25th July and will run until the school holidays finish on Sunday 4th September.
Nottingham Beach is happy to announce that new for this year’s instalment of summer fun will be a Giant Slip ‘n Slide that will comprise of two huge inflatable slides that are sure to get you in the holiday mood. The two new additions to this year’s beach are:
- The Arrow is the largest inflatable urban water slide in the UK. A 55m long, 14m wide, 13m high, two-lane water slide where you can race against your friends.
- Little John is a 22m long, 18m wide, 7.5m high water park with 6 lanes of slides. Splashing in to an 18m x 10m pool that can also be used for general paddling.
To gain access to the Giant Slip ‘n Slide tickets are required and can be purchased online beforehand. There will be a limited number of complimentary wetsuits and bodyboards available for you to use at your convenience. Tickets purchased give you unlimited access to the attraction for one hour, however a small portion of this time is designated for changing and leaving so bare this in mind before you arrive.
Tickets are £12 for the hour, and you can find them here. As usual, access to the Nottingham Beach is free and has been extended this year. To help the beachgoers cool down, there is the wading pool for you to dip your toes in and have a splashing good time.
What good is a beach without some other attractions and stalls? You can expect to see the classics such as: Bungee Trampolines, Hook-a-duck, Penny pusher machines and small arcade stalls. For the adults, Nottingham Beach 2022 is happy to announce the introduction of the Starflyer; an attraction towering 40m into the air offers stunning views over the entire beach, the city and beyond. This is not one to miss.
No need to bring a picnic to this beach, as there will be a large offering of food and drinks vendors catering to all tastes from classics like ice cream and slushies to Filthy Vegan and the return of the extremely popular Melt and Grill. Nottingham Beach also welcomes the return of the small beach shack bar which will serve all your favourite beverages to be enjoyed in the sun.
Also, make sure you don’t forget your swimsuits, towels and most importantly, the sun cream! This is sure to be a spectacular week and we look forward to welcoming you.
