Nottingham Festival of Science & Curiosity 2023

For two weeks in February, the returns. The annual festival is curated to showcase a world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and so much more.

The Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity 2023 was created to give the citizens of Nottinghamshire places to share what they know about such topics, but also for anyone who has questions and would like to learn more about the Sciences etc. The purpose is to celebrate human curiosity, to empower people to ask questions and to take their own initiative to discover the answers.

Interactive and fun, free family events across Nottinghamshire.

Since its inception the Festival of Science and Curiosity has developed in numerous ways, now producing a series of live TV shows, hosting and running online events, creating a magazine with all information about the festival and is now even able to commission artists to display artwork throughout.

During the first week of the Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity 2023, the offering provided is a variety of activities with researchers and scientists that take place in participating schools due to the fact that it is still term-time. These activities get pupils out of the classroom and into different science sites in which they learn various different subjects, this is followed by the students showing their findings in a scientific presentation to their peers and tutors. Pupils at all phases in the school curriculum are visited from primary school all the way to college level and are inclusive of special schools.

The second week of the festival takes place during half term and therefore allows the activities to take place in community settings such as libraries and museums to ensure that families are able to partake in the varied range of activities on offer.

The 2023 edition of the festival is certain to thrill and stimulate curious families with children of all ages, participants can expect thrilling live shows, fun days and a wide range of activities including: fractal fun, sensory nature walks, building your own robots and so much more!
